Concrete Wall Sawing vs. Concrete Wire Sawing

Concrete wall sawing, for any kind of concrete work, is a preferred method for cutting openings through concrete walls and masonry for use of HVAC venting, egress doors and windows, raised slab removal, and more. Fine Cut Drilling & Sawing, LLC out of Kansas City, MO, and Tulsa, OK has established a foundation within the company that is based on loyalty and integrity with a dedicated work ethic and determination toward continued success. For any concrete wall sawing needs you may have – contact the best!

While both wall and wire sawing are forms of concrete cutting, they are two very different methods, which are not interchangeable. Sawing needs can vary from the shape, size, depth, and other necessary specifics such as noise level and location of sawing needed. Which method is right for your specific concrete wall sawing needs? We want to clear up any confusion about the differences and uses of wall and wire sawing. The uses for concrete wall sawing typically include cutting windows, doors, openings for HVAC, various building modifications such as elevators, stair openings, and separation cuts for demolition. Concrete wall sawing can be done up to 30 inches deep, on either side of a wall, for a total depth of 60 inches and can accommodate for certain angles that are needed.

Concrete wire sawing is also referred to as diamond wire cutting. One of the advantages of wire sawing is its capability to cut through any concrete at any depth. This method is recommended over many others due to its increased safety when removing large amounts of concrete while keeping surrounding structures intact and maintaining integrity. Another advantage of this method is its considerable decrease in the noise produced. There is a variety of wire available to use, but we believe, and have experienced that diamond wire is the most efficient way to separate foundations, bridges, create openings in thick walls, and remove equipment pads.
